Alexander Krainikov was born in 1954 in Donetsk.

In 1976, he graduated from Donetsk State University with a degree in physics.

Mr. Krainikov holds a PhD (1985) and a DSc in physical and mathematical sciences (1995).

Alexander Krainikov is the author of more than 150 scientific articles.

Since 1980 he has been working in the Institute for Problems of Materials Sciences of the NAS of Ukraine holding different positions – from PhD student to the leading research scientist.

Since March 2000, Alexander Krainikov has been head of the analytical department of SE Ukrainian Industry Expertise- spare-time work.
